Transparency Tool Added!

You asked for it, and we listened!

We have readded the transparency tool in our new interface! We didn’t know so many skinners are still actively using this tool. Sorry for any inconvenience caused!

You can now access the tool again under Create Theme, above the selection of model to create.

Problem with new UI in ie6

We are currently aware of certain performance issues when viewing our new user interface with Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) browser. We are doing our best to resolve the issue at the moment.

Updated 1st July 2008: We have optimised several parts of our site and removed the offending codes. IE6 users should have a much smoother experience with our new user interface

Today we are beta launching our new user interface, and introduce two exciting new services — OwnTape Premium and Mobile Wallpapers. You can access our live site (beta) at http://www45.ownskin.com/index?r=1

New User Interface
Our designers have been working tirelessly for the past few months to come up with a design that would surely enhance your surfing experiences. We have streamlined the navigation bar by grouping together closely related tabs, and improved the design of many of our pages.

Streamlined Navigation

In addition, we have also integrated our sister site, OwnTape, into the design of the website. This would allow you to easily browse between the listings of themes and tapes. Future services would also be integrated into the website in a similar way.

OwnTape Premium
OwnTape Premium is an enhanced version of OwnTape, allowing you to create your very own animated flash for use as your mobile screensaver or wallpaper. It has many exciting templates, with matching design for battery and signal indicators.

Lots of templates available to customise your tape.

Mobile Wallpapers
Mobile Wallpapers is a new service that we are launching together with our new user interface. Our flash tool allows you to create animated wallpapers for your mobile phone, and customising it by adding text, icons and special effects! You can create the wallpaper by uploading several pictures, or if you have a webcam, our flash tool can access your webcam and capture your picture directly. Whats more, this service is completely free, so start creating now!

Its easy to add special effects and customisation to your wallpaper.
